CarmenConnect: Getting Started (Hands-on)Tue, 7/16/2013 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Hagerty Hall 0186
This hands-on workshop will provide instructors and staff with the basic skills needed to hold a class or meeting in CarmenConnect (Ohio State's webinar service). This hands-on session is intended for beginners, but is also good for users who want a better understanding of the system.
We will cover:
- General orientation to CarmenConnect
- Setting up and managing an online meeting room
- Understanding roles and permissions for users in a Connect room
- Working with Pods, Layouts, and other options
If time permits, we will also pratice communcating with each other in a live Connect session. You may wish to bring files or other material to upload. If you have a USB headset mic, please bring it with you.
The workshop instructor will be available for 30 minutes after the session ends for an open Q & A.
To access CarmenConnect, you will need to have a CarmenConnect account. This is not the same account you use to access Carmen or other OSU resources. If you need a CarmenConnect account, please send your first and last name, lastname.#, and department to email@example.com. Please allow at least 3 days to create your account.
