Learn techniques and strategies for using Carmen tools to meet your instructional goals. For this hands-on session, the instructor will use the "unconference" model to help you learn to use standard Carmen tools. Send your Carmen questions and problems at least a week before the scheduled start time to email@example.com with "Activities Workshop" in the subject line. The instructor will use your questions to create a workshop agenda and address your concerns during the session.
Depending on interest, this workshop might cover:
We assume you will have a course shell to work in. You may use a shell you plan to use for class, a class shell you will never use, or a practice shell (please allow at least 3 days for a practice shell to be created). Bring files or other material to upload.
The instructor will assume everyone attending this workshop has an understanding of how to navigate Carmen and set basic tool properties. If you need to learn these basic Carmen skills, please review the relevant video tutorials or consider attending a Carmen Getting Started workshop. Refer to our Workshop Calendar to find upcoming Carmen Getting Started workshop dates.
The workshop instructor will be available for 30 minutes after the session ends for an open Carmen Q & A.
To access Carmen, you will need to come to the workshop knowing your Ohio State Username (lastname.#) and password. This is your username and password that you use to access online services at Ohio State. If you aren't sure what your Ohio State Username and password are, please visit the Identity and Password Management web page at this link: https://my.osu.edu.
