iPads for Teaching & Learning: An Introduction

Apple’s iPad is a dynamic teaching and learning tool for all educators and students. This session will provide clear examples of how to utilize an iPad in the classroom and beyond to enhance teaching and learning.

Cory Tressler is an Educational Technologist for Digital First in Ohio State’s Office of Distance Education and eLearning. Cory manages iTunes U for Ohio State and works directly with instructors, staff, and students on utilizing mobile technology for teaching and learning. Cory was formerly the Director of Virtual Learning for the Beaufort County School District in South Carolina. While working for Beaufort Schools he created a virtual learning program for high school students, initiated a Virtual Summer School enrichment program, developed an extensive professional development plan for over 2500 educators, designed a mobile learning initiative that implemented 7800 iPads into classrooms, and presented at multiple national conferences.
