Online Course Creation Studio

Tue, 10/3/2017 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Enarson Classroom Building  012

LEARNING GOALS

Participants in this session will:

  1. Ask ODEE instructional designers questions about course development projects and building within CarmenCanvas.
  2. Investigate software and applications available in the Digital Union that can be used in online course development.
  3. Work on course development projects, navigating design and LMS challenges with the support of ODEE instructional designers.

Online Course Creation Studios are offered specifically to support instructors and designers creating online courses at Ohio State. Events are held in the Enarson Digital Union, where ODEE instructional designers are on hand to answer questions about putting your course online.

Think of the Creation Studio as a makerspace for online course development. You'll have access to state-of-the-art software in the Digital Union and be able to try out ideas you've been thinking about but weren't sure how to put into action. The studio is open and unstructured. A brief introduction to supported tools is followed by ample time for collaborative discussion, sharing and consultation and to test out the capabilities of CarmenCanvas and other tools within the context of your project.

Space is limited for this event, so don't wait to register. We look forward to seeing you and hearing about your online course development project!

Presented by the Distance Education Learning and Teaching Academy (DELTA).
