Webinar: Real-Time Collaborations Online

Wed, 9/20/2017 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM | Online Meeting

LEARNING GOALS

Participants in this session will be able to:

  1. Identify and explain strategies for facilitating real-time online collaborations with and between students.
  2. Evaluate tools that enable real-time collaborations within and outside of CarmenCanvas.
  3. Identify where to access on-demand support for using collaboration tools.

As the fall 2017 semester gets underway, you may be contemplating using different strategies to engage students in online collaborations. Whether you are teaching online or face-to-face, this webinar will provide you with information and strategies you can use to create and leverage real-time, online collaborative spaces for you and your students within and outside of the classroom.

Join ODEE instructional designers Marcia Ham and Jacob Bane as they discuss strategies including facilitating live discussions, small group break-outs, and office hours using the Conferences tool in CarmenCanvas and the web conferencing tool CarmenConnect. Questions and conversation from attendees are welcome and encouraged.

Presented by the Distance Education Learning and Teaching Academy (DELTA).
