Coding for Everyone: Learn the Basics of SwiftFri, 6/23/2017 | 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM | Physical Activity and Education Services A105
Participants in this session will:
- Develop an understanding of coding concepts and how they can be applied both in coding and in everyday life.
- Explore Swift coding tools and resources for further coding exploration.
Have you ever wanted to learn to code, but you're not sure where to start? Join other educators to explore Swift, a programming language created by Apple, that can be used for a variety of coding purposes. Intended for non-programmers, this workshop will introduce coding concepts in a fun and engaging way. Participants will gain familiarity with how Swift works and leave the session with the tools and resources needed to continue their coding journey. Whether you want to incorporate elements of coding into your courses or you just want to learn about coding for yourself, join us for this can't-miss session.
This session will be co-facilitated by the Office of Distance Education and eLearning's Ben Scragg & LuAnne Jackson of Apple Professional Learning.
Note: This workshop is intended for participants who have little or no prior coding experience, but intermediate and advanced coders are welcome.
Unable to attend? Check out the next session on Thursday, July 6!
