LEARNING GOALS

Participants in this session will:

  1. Develop a basic understanding of Project Based Learning.
  2. Experience examples of Project Based Learning in action.
  3. Brainstorm topics for Project Based Learning in their fields of study.

Have you heard the buzz around project based learning (PBL), but haven't yet employed it in your course? How might you use it to get your students actively engaged with real world challenges and experiences related to your discipline? In this workshop, we will explore what project based learning is, why educators are using project based learning and examples of project based learning in the classroom.

This session will be co-lead by Apple Professional Learning Specialist LuAnne Jackson and the Office of Distance Education and eLearning's Scott Sheeler.
